Title: Presenting Herself
This watercolor life drawing captures with vibrantly subtle washes the grace and elegance of a nude woman in a seductive pose of presenting herself in a swirl of fabric and an expression of intensity to someone off to the side. Her face is beautiful and the colors soft making her ethereal and mysterious.
This is an original watercolor painting, not a print. Painted on Liberty watercolor paper it is delivered protected in a clear poly sleeve, backed with foam core, ready to mat and frame. Artwork is signed and includes signed Certificate of Authenticity. (The texture of the paper is not as harsh as it appears in the photo of the artwork. It was shot in bright sunlight. The copyright notice is to protect the listing only and not part of the artwork).

Painting and drawing from a live model is a way for me to react spontaneously to a subject that is right before my eyes for a limited period of time. There’s no planning, revising or refining. The results are often a measure of my ability to focus in the moment and react intuitively to what I see through quick choices of brush lines and shapes. The results can be very exciting and surprising.
I’ve been using watercolor and ink brush line in my illustration work for nearly 20 years, but in a much more controlled and predictable way. My pictures appear on book jackets, ads,posters, logos and packaging all over the country and Canada.
