In the past few years I’ve focused on watercolor painting and looking at flowers up close to the point of almost abstraction in composition yet very realistic in detail. I fill the picture plane with the bloom hoping to draw the viewer into an immersion of a unique landscape and pattern within, to feel the wonder of a colorful world unfolding. I’m now producing my most consistent and focused work as I transition to the fine arts from a career in illustration. It’s fun and full of the beauty of the rhythms of nature. All these paintings are available as limited edition archival giclee prints in varying sizes. Please contact me for ordering. They are all professionally photographed and printed by Digital Canvas Northwest. In 2016 I’m proud to be the poster artist for the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Visit my blog to learn more about this event and the artwork that graces all kinds of promotional products for the tulips of Washington.
