Jeanette Best Gallery at Northwind Art Center,

Gallery Hours: 12 noon – 5 p.m. Thursdays through Mondays
Ecstatica and Swoop were selected from 450 submissions to be part of this group show of 2D and 3D artists from Washington and Oregon.
These images might resemble fireworks for our nation’s birthday as they burst off the page? The holiday doesn’t keep Port Townsend from celebrating art on the 4th of July so the reception could be fun! (August 1 will be another non-holiday Art Walk reception but I can’t be at that one).
I love any excuse to go to Port Townsend for its friendly people, old downtown architecture on the water, great food and creative spirit. It’s now only an hour from my home on Bainbridge Island. From Seattle it’s a 2 hour adventure with a lovely summer ferry experience.
Reception July 9, 5:00 – 8:00 pm! Please come!
Spark & Thread Gallery
1909 E Aloha St
Seattle, WA
Gallery Hours: Wed – Sat. 11:00 – 5:00 Sun. 11:00 – 4:00
Spark&Thread, my favorite boutique gallery on Capital Hill in Seattle, is having a special group garden show that fits my work perfectly. They’ve been selling archival prints and cards of my paintings for several years and I love a chance to visit and check out their shows when I deliver work to them. They show great jewelry, that I can’t resist, metal works (Spark!), fabric creations (Thread!), ceramics (including my son Adrien Miller’s functional sculptures) and decor. I’m showing these 3 original paintings this summer. Three different shapes and color schemes to fit your moods and wall spaces!
I’m so grateful for all the enthusiasm expressed for my paintings at the Scott Milo Gallery reception in Anacortes, WA! These 4 paintings have found new homes.
Sold by Scott Milo Gallery: Open Hearted, Toasting the Evening, Foxglove Glory
Sold by SaatchiArt.com: Meadow Star
Have a great summer! Long days, colorful gardens, warm temperatures, a chance to go swimming outside! The natural world is an inspiring work of art!
Flamboyance by Sandy Haight. Frame: 31” x 39”.
I’m continuing with my thrill of zooming into a flower and being seduced by the designs and vivid colors. Those colors, so fleetingly short lived but inviting us to revel in our natural world with “flamboyance.” Lately I’m stretching into new horizons with single blooms that reach for the sky,
I’m presenting these 4 new paintings along with 5 others you may have seen on prior posts and shows for the April group show at Scott Milo Gallery of Skagit Valley Tulip Festival Poster artists past and present.

I had the honor in 2016 to be the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival poster artist and get to participate in Scott Milo Gallery’s group show every few years, this year with 9 paintings. Here’s a link to my posts from that time. If you get a chance to visit the tulip fields this spring, you might want to see work of several artists who have been inspired by the region in this show.
Prints and cards of my paintings can be found at some local shops;
Bainbridge Island Museum of Art store and Bloedel Gift Shop on Bainbridge Island.
Spark & Thread on Capitol Hill in Seattle, and Women Painters of WA Gallery in Columbia Tower, Seattle.
Custom sized prints on various substrates can be ordered from FineArtAmerica.com and Saatchiart.com. Or, check out what originals and prints are available directly from me at my Etsy shop.

On a spring visit to Heronswood Garden in Kingston, WA I spotted this trillium with a bloom emerging from its camouflaged leaves emerging from the ground, a disguise to possibly give it a chance to come to full bloom. I love the irregular pattern surrounding the lotus-like flower. Finding beauty in the little things in nature can make us pause and take a breath against the noise and confusion of the outer world. I like to enlarge those moments to be enjoyed.
My painting, “Season of Hope”, was chosen to be part of the Women Painter’s of WA show at Matzke Gallery on Camano Island, WA.
Exhibit Dates: February 28 to March 29, 2026
Reception: Saturday February 28 from 2:00-4:00pm
Make it a weekend outing…an island you can drive to without a ferry! But, if you can’t make it to Camano Island, you can see the whole show posted online! The Women Painters of Washington are a diverse group of excellent artists using all mediums in many styles who have been juried into the group. I’m honored to be a part of this group.

I’ve got 4 new paintings for the Tulip Festival Poster Artists Past and Present exhibit to be held at the Scott Milo Gallery in Anacortes, WA. (They’ve yet to be photographed, so stay tuned for my next post.) I had the honor in 2016 to be the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival poster artist and look forward to being in this group show again with 8-10 paintings. Here’s a link to my posts from that time. If you get a chance to visit the tulip fields this spring, you might want to see work of several artists who have been inspired by the region.
