Curly Cue is my first square Floralscape painting to show off this convoluted tulip against a dark background. It’s now showing at Cordata Gallery in Bellingham just North of the tulip fields of Skagit County where I found this unusual spring bloom!
Also showing is Lighting the Darkness, an Amaryllis seen below, glowing from its dark winter background. This painting is on the home page of the Women Painters of WA website to promote this show, where you can click to see the whole show online!

I’ll have 4 large paintings in this Art of the Garden show at Everett’s Schack Art Center‘s huge gallery, celebrating the beauty and creativity of the natural world and garden-inspired artwork. Here’s what I’m showing, below, all bursting off the paper: An Angel’s Trumpet found in my daughter’s San Francisco garden, a Dahlia singing out at Butchart Gardens in Victoria, BC, an Alstroemeria from a long lasting grocery store bunch and a luminous Lily from a visiting friend.
